Wednesday, May 05, 2010It’s hard to imagine how people can abuse animals, isn’t it? How can someone look into the eyes of a dog, a cat, a horse or any other animal and deliberately cause the animal pain — or leave the animal to starve to death?
Incredibly, such things happen almost every day across Canada. And our archaic federal animal cruelty law does little to stop the abuse.
The Canadian Federation of Humane Societies has launched this year’s version of our annual Stop Animal Abuse campaign. Please visit the newly updated website to:
• learn more about the changes that are needed to Canada’s animal cruelty law;
• order a decal to display in your window; and
• send a message to the Justice Minister using our online form letter.
