The CFHS’s upcoming “Finding Fido” campaign will help Canadians make smart, humane decisions about getting a new pet. The campaign aims to:
• Counter the growing online marketing of pets, especially puppies, coming from sketchy, substandard breeders
• Discourage the purchase of pets, especially dogs, from pet stores and brokers
• Promote adoption of pets from shelters
• Teach pet buyers how to research and evaluate breeders before buying, to make sure they are caring and reputable
We’re preparing to launch the campaign later this summer — but first, we need a logo!
Here’s your chance to put your creative juices to work for a great cause. Enter our Finding Fido Logo Design Contest, and if your logo is selected as the winner, it will be seen by millions of Canadians. You’ll also win a copy of the award-winning book “Mutts: Shelter Stories”, which features the popular “MUTTS” comic strips alongside true stories and photos of adopted pets.
The contest entry deadline is Friday, June 10, 2011.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
• A simple, striking logo incorporating the words “Finding Fido” with a graphic image
• Logos should be submitted as pdf or jpeg files, and sent to info@cfhs.ca
• If you have a brilliant concept but lack the software needed to turn it into a polished graphic, please feel free to send us a scanned sketch!
