All Canadians need to see this documentary, which touches on crucial animal welfare challenges in our country — from abusive puppy mills to the overcrowded abattoir-bound trucks where livestock can go for days without food or water.
Please watch, and forward the link as widely as possible.
Want to take action on the issues covered in this documentary? Here are two things you can do today:
1. Demand reform of the federal animal cruelty law using our online letter to the Justice Minister posted on the Stop Animal Abuse campaign site: www.stopanimalabuse.ca.
2. Demand reasonable transportation times for livestock. As you saw in the documentary, livestock in Canada can be transported continuously with no food or water for up to 52 hours. Write to the following contacts and tell them that this is inhumane and unacceptable:
