CFHS thanks Nestlé Canada and Wal-Mart Canada for their continuing support of Canadian humane societies! A pet photo contest was held in Wal-Mart stores across the country in October 1998. Each store selected a winning photo from their entries and these winners were entered in the national contest. Twelve winning photos were chosen for a 1999 calendar available in Wal-Mart stores. Each winner received $100 in Friskies or Alpo pet food, and a $750 donation made to CFHS in their name.
This is the third year that Nestlé and Wal-Mart have worked together with CFHS and Canadian humane societies. CFHS is very excited about this partnership, which unites us with the largest retailer in the world and the largest food company in the world. Our most sincere thanks go to Nestlé and Wal-Mart for their contribution to animal welfare work in Canada.
