Charlottetown , PE – Due to a high number of recent arrivals, the P.E.I. Humane Society is housing cats in near-capacity numbers and we need your help.If you or someone you know is thinking about adopting a cat – or even two – there are many, many fantastic felines of all shapes, sizes and personalities just ready to meet you on the Cat Adoption Floor.
As our Valentine to cat adopters, adoption rates for all cats are reduced to $100.00 for one cat and $135.00 for two cats effective immediately from Wednesday, February 14 to Wednesday, February 28th.
All cat adoption fees include:
“As the cat population at the Shelter increases, so does the likelihood of the risk of disease – particularly Upper Respiratory Infection,” explains Shelter Manager, Dr. Els Cawthorn, “Finding new homes for as many cats as possible will help minimize those risks and give as many cats as possible a new lease on life. Otherwise we’ll be facing some really difficult decisions that might be avoided if we can get a great turnout of adopters.”
