CFHS Shelter Operations Manual (2009)

This manual on how to operate an animal shelter was written by Dr. Ernest Olfert and produced by the CFHS in 2009. It is a comprehensive, 86-page manual that covers shelter sanitation, basic animal care, veterinary care, environmental enrichment and more.

    On March 19th the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies in association with the PEI Humane Society and the Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre at the Atlantic Veterinary College, UPEI, Charlottetown, PEI hosted a webinar titled Free-roaming cats, Issues and new ideas for their survival presented by Dr. Margaret Slater of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
